Ouch.

I've been getting up at midnight to pump for a long time now, even though baby girl is sleeping through the night. It helps build my freezer stash and relieve the painful engorgement that can happen over the long night hours of no nursing.

I guess I needed sleep last night more than most, because I totally slept through my alarm and didn't wake up until 4:45. My poor, poor boobies were like two hard rocks. I had no idea they could get so full, so hard, or so tender. Ouch.

At night I usually pump about 6 ounces. Tonight I cut it off at 12 and headed back to bed. Holy moly!

Note to self: get up with your alarm.
