A Perfect Day

It rained today.
Pretty much all day.
And it was cold.
Like 40 degrees.
We didn't leave the house once.
It was a nasty, gloomy day.

But inside, your gummy smiles lit my world.
And your squeals and babbles and gurgles warmed my soul.
Inside, we stayed dry and warm, smitten with each other's eyes.

We snuggled.
Pretty much all day.
We didn't leave the house once.
It was a perfect day.
